Requirements for heat treatment of pallets IPPC/ISPM15

In 2002 was published an international standard known under the acronym FAO IPPC ISPM 15.

Regulation of wood packaging material in international trade, was released in 2009.

Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture, Wood Packinging Material Unit is responsible for the certification of technical equipment testing for heat treatment of wood packaging material made in Czech Republic. It ensures that wooden packiging material produced and treated by DREPOS s.r.o. meet the requirements imposed on him by national regulations and international standard ISPM 15.

Standard guidelines cover all forms of wood packaging material (pallets, boxes, stickers, struts, etc.) used in international trade, which can be a pathway for the spread and introduction of pests posing risk mainly to living trees.

Heat treatment is performed in an drying kiln - heating the pallet at 56 degrees Celsius for minimum of 30 minutes.
